Bulletin Board #1

So far I have paper on all of my bulletin boards (5 of them!!)  I thought it would be fun to do a timeline style board. (I'm horrible at changing my boards!! I thought this might help me keep them updated!) I will take pictures each month of things we are doing in the classroom and put them on the board. Let's hope I can keep up with printing pictures!! 

                                                                    

It has begun!

Today was my first day back into my classroom since school ended. It's always overwhelming. I spent the first 20 minutes walking around thinking, WHERE DO I START?

After some time organizing (3 hours!!), I think I am ready for Jump-Start kindergarten (summer school)

Homework Club

I got this idea from Pinterest. I will be using it this year in my class. Each student is assigned a number. If they continue to complete their homework each night, their number remains on the chart. If they do not complete their homework, their number is removed. At the end of the month, the students with their numbers still on the chart will get a reward.
I made the chart from a cookie sheet from Wal-Mart for 92 cents. Then, I found some ribbon at Hobby Lobby. The circles are bottle caps, I also found at Hobby Lobby. I puff painted the numbers, and put magnets on the back.
It took me FOREVER to find a color scheme I liked!
